A Panoply of Entertainment

I've been editing away, making steady progress to change up my magical conceit in the current WIP. The change has been invigorating, in terms of my writerly enthusiasm, and also given me the energy to finish tidying up the remains of my dead subplot.

Picture is unrelated, but made me giggle. Admiral Ackbar knows
how to lay the smack down. He is the cephalopod rockstar of the
Star Wars franchise. (Ooh, burn, Jar-Jar Binks! That just happened!).

In the interest of my own productivity (but not yours, I'm afraid, Dear Reader), I present you with a fantastic array of entertainment to wile away the afternoon.

First, a fun gauge to tell how much of a geek, dork, and nerd you are. The three classifications are not interchangeable, if you drill down to their true meanings. All in all, considering the fact that I attended a handful of Star Trek conventions when I was younger (of my own free will, I confess), I came out okay in my percentages. I'm 91% nerd, 43% geek, and 17% dork. Now that I know this about myself, I can stop reliving the horrors of middle school, right? Right?! If you're interested, the test is here.

Second, did you ever wish you could get all your Twitter friends together and have a parade? Well now you can! March away the afternoon, Dear Reader! I'm off to edit while the little ones are quiet upstairs!

I am impressed that I still count as a modern cool nerd, when I still manage to get 48% dork (eep!) my other stats were 70% nerd, 57% geek.
on the other hand you have this theory on the subject - http://xkcd.com/747/

I was a pure nerd: 83% nerd, 17% geek, 13% dork. I am pleased with my low dork rating, which makes me what... a nerd?

Gwyneth, I would not have thought you close to 50% dork. Are you sure that's right? I love that chart, by the way, and I up the ante with one of my own: the geek hierarchy.
