A Shamelessly Selfish Post

This picture is entirely unrelated to this blog post, but it made me laugh so 

hard I fell out of my chair. I thought the mirth should be propagated.

I read quite a few other authors' and editors' blogs. They are generally helpful folk, and have many insightful things to say on a regular basis. Things that are relevant to my interests, like getting this unnamed book published. Y'know, after I find its title floating in a bowl of alphabet soup.

Moonrat from Editorial Ass (that's officially short for Editorial Assistant) is one such helpful blogger. Also, she loves The Wheel of Time, which gives me no end of glee. I've been following her blog for over a year now ... following in a quiet, stalkerly way.

And now, the lovely Ms. Ass is running a contest, the prize being an edit of my manuscript's first twenty pages! Please please pick me! I'm not above shameful begging! Or bribes! I will knit you a Wheel of Time tea cozy! I will cross-stitch cute animal pillows for your reading nook!
